La Rogerie & Rings Winery
La Rogerie is a young, family-run Champagne house founded by Justine Boxler and François Petit, connecting Alsatian roots with the chalky terroirs of Avize, Oger, and Cramant. They farm organically and focus on living soils, crafting Champagnes that are elegant, mineral, and pure. Their wines express both tradition and a fresh, modern sensibility — precise, balanced, and deeply tied to place.
Weingut Rings, led by brothers Andreas and Steffen Rings in Freinsheim (Pfalz), has become one of Germany’s most respected producers. They work organically and meticulously in the vineyards, believing great wine starts with healthy soil. Their Rieslings, Pinot Noirs, and sparkling wines show clarity, structure, and vitality, capturing the cool energy of the limestone-rich Pfalz.
Inside the box
La Rogerie “Bourg/Sud” Réserve Perpétuelle 18–22
This Blanc de Blancs is made entirely from Grand Cru Chardonnay grown in Avize and Oger on the Côte des Blancs. Produced using the réserve perpétuelle method that blends wines from 2018 to 2022, it’s fermented partly in oak and aged for several years on the lees. The vineyards are organically and biodynamically farmed, emphasizing soil vitality, biodiversity, and manual vineyard care. The wine reflects both the finesse of its chalk terroir and La Rogerie’s detailed craftsmanship.
La Rogerie “Chemin de Chalons” 2020
A Grand Cru Chardonnay from Avize and Cramant, grown on deep chalk soils. Fermented and aged for 11 months in 228-liter French oak barrels, then aged around 48 months on the lees before release. The vineyard management follows organic principles with low yields and precise handwork. Only about 2,200 bottles were produced, making this a limited and highly site-expressive cuvée.
La Rogerie “Champ Bouton” 2020
A single-vineyard Grand Cru Chardonnay from Avize, sourced from a 0.35-hectare parcel of old vines rooted in very shallow chalk. Farmed organically and entirely by hand, the wine is fermented in oak and aged long on the lees (around 48 months).
Rings “Calcaire” 2020
Produced by Weingut Rings in Freinsheim (northern Pfalz, Germany), this wine comes from limestone-rich vineyards that define its character. It’s grown organically, with low yields and careful soil management. Fermentation occurs partly in large oak casks (Stückfass and Doppelstückfass) and partly in steel, resulting in a more oxidative, textured style that highlights structure and depth rather than primary fruit. The wine represents Rings’ philosophy of precision through natural, expressive winemaking rooted in limestone terroir.
