Jonas, Philipp, and Lukas Seckinger from Weingut Seckinger in the Pfalz are redefining German Riesling with their minimal-intervention approach. Nicola Libelli, the driving force behind Bürklin-Wolf, is a master of biodynamic viticulture, leading one of Germany’s most historic estates into the future. His focus on purity and energy results in wines. Moritz Kissinger from Rheinhessen is a rising star in German Chardonnay, known for his meticulous biodynamic farming and innovative winemaking.
Inside the box
Seckinger’s 1 Tal Riesling 2021 is a bold expression of minimal-intervention winemaking. Sourced from the estate’s coolest vineyard, this Riesling is all about purity and tension. Fermented spontaneously and aged in used barrels, it shows incredible depth, with electric acidity, fine texture, and a raw, unfiltered edge that speaks to the Seckinger brothers’ philosophy. Bürklin-Wolf’s Wachenheimer Gerümpel Riesling 2022 comes from a historic vineyard with sandstone-rich soils, delivering a Riesling of power and precision.
