Dard & Ribo is one of the quietly influential estates of the northern Rhône, based near Mercurol and working across Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage, and Hermitage. Founded in the late 1980s by René-Jean Dard and François Ribo, the domaine has always stood for wines built on place, integrity, and craft—more substance than spectacle.

They were farming organically long before it was trendy, working with old vines, low yields, and a sharp sensitivity to each site. In the cellar, they keep intervention minimal: spontaneous fermentations, gentle handling, balance over polish. The wines are structured, deep, and energetic—carrying true northern Rhône character with clarity and restraint, and aging with that calm, quiet confidence that never needs to shout.

Inside the box

Dard & Ribo Hermitage 2023

A confident, expressive Syrah that knows exactly where it comes from. Dark berries, black pepper and a touch of wild herbs lead the way, followed by a structured yet fluid palate. There’s power here, but it’s carried with ease — warm, layered and quietly commanding, with the kind of tension that keeps you coming back.

Dard & Ribo Crozes-Hermitage 2023

Open, generous and full of northern Rhône charm. Ripe dark fruit and gentle spice meet a fresh, balanced palate with soft grip and natural movement. This is a Crozes-Hermitage that feels effortless and grounded — easy to love, but never simple.

Dard & Ribo “Les Bâties” Rouge 2023

My fav bottle of this drop! A more playful and site-driven expression of Syrah. Bright red fruit, earthy tones and a hint of smokiness come together over a structured, warm core. Precise yet relaxed, with fine tannins and a strong sense of place, this wine shows depth without losing its lightness.
