Founded in 2021
Romain et Thomas Henin are part of a new generation reshaping Champagne from the inside out. After gaining experience with Sébastien Mouzon and Henri Giraud, Romain took over his family’s domaine in Aÿ in 2021, bringing with him a fresh, uncompromising vision. The estate, originally founded by their father Pascal Hénin, spans just 1.2 hectares across Grand and Premier Cru vineyards in Aÿ, Chouilly, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Dizy, and the Marne Valley.
Minimal intervention
Maximum expression
Their winemaking philosophy is one of minimal intervention, maximum expression. No additives. No manipulation. Native fermentations, no sulfur, no dosage. Everything is done by hand, with patience and precision, in small volumes that reflect the character of each parcel. For Romain and Thomas, Champagne is not about technique or prestige—it’s about place, energy, and connection.

I’m happy to present to you our Box No. 8 at Between Two Bottles: the L’Odyssée Pétillante, featuring Romain and Thomas Hénin.
A pure expression of place and intention – this single-vineyard Champagne captures the essence of Hénin’s philosophy.
It’s a blend of 50% Pinot Meunier, 40% Pinot Noir, and 10% Chardonnay, disgorged on December 20th, 2024.
Crafted with zero dosage and no added sulfur, this wine feels transparent and honest. It expresses its origin without mask or artifice, offering a refined yet organic tasting experience.

There’s a subtle salinity and a cool stony streak that gives a refined backbone and lingering finish. It’s lively yet serene, showing elegant depth rather than overt power—a perfect reflection of Romain’s minimalist, terroir-first approach.

- Apply Now: To express your intention to buy the wine box, you must apply through our application form below. This step is crucial to ensure your interest is registered.
- Country Allocations: Each country has a specific allocation of wine boxes. This approach helps us distribute the boxes fairly across different regions. I can only sell to the following countries: Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Austria.
- If you are selected, you receive confirmation and a receipt via mail after about some days.
- Please follow all instructions on the receipt. If payment is not received on time, the package will be offered to the next person.
- Shipping will take a few weeks, so you can expect your wines to arrive in July!
